Think about what you type when you want to buy something. You don’t search a store’s clever name. You pull out your phone and type exactly what you want plus “near me”: “coffee near me,” “pharmacy near me,” and yes, “anime store near me.”
By naming the shop the exact phrase people search, the owner did for free what big companies pay fortunes to achieve. When someone in that town searches “anime store near me,” Google is far more likely to surface a business whose name is a perfect match for the search. The sign isn’t a mistake. It’s search-engine optimization carved into the real world.
