She wore them to school the next day without a single ounce of fear. According to her, the other kids didn’t laugh at all — they thought she was the coolest kid in class, and half of them now apparently want “star glasses” too.
That optician will never know what he did. In five minutes, with a bit of patience and a small creative kindness, he turned a source of shame into a source of pride for a little girl who will now grow up thinking glasses are something special, not something to hide.
